Tax Manager | East Midlands| Up to £52,000

Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with a c200m t/o organisation who are seeking to appoint a Tax Manager to bolster their Finance team following the retirement of the current incumbent.

**IMPORTANT

This is an exciting opportunity which will be working closely with the senior management team and external advisors to deliver on the organisations ambitious plans to grow and diversify its activities internationally.

You will have the support of a Tax Officerand will be providing insight on both direct and indirect tax risks, considerations and strategy.

The role is overseeing an established Tax Officer who handles the operational areas (corporation tax, VAT etc) and so gives the opportunity in this role to focus on the strategic, higher level and bigger picture tasks.

Reporting into the Director of Finance you will have the opportunity to get involved with large strategic projects and help shape the path of this organisation by providing advice and insight on tax related matters.

Requirements:

Experience with both direct and indirect tax providing advice and guidance to leadership teams on risks, considerations and strategy
International tax experience and/ or experience with Transfer Pricing
Strong communication skills, able to appropriately influence and challenge business decisions from a tax perspective with both senior management and external advisors

Desirable:

Tax qualification
Experience working with partial exemptions

Hybrid working

Only one day per fortnight is required on site (Leicestershire), the rest can be remote. Should you wish to come in more they do have office space for you to be in everyday so the choice is completely yours.

This Tax Manager role is an excellent opportunity for someone who either has a strong tax background looking to further expand on their strategic experience or someone with elements of tax in their career looking to expand this and partner with the Senior Managementteams and help deliver various key projects for the organisation.
