We are currently recruiting for a
Financial Analystwithin a large organisation.
The role is a long term ongoing temporary position; however, the size of this organisation means that this temporary role is very likely to open the door topermanent opportunities and a range of fantastic benefits.
The role sits within the Financial Planning & Analysis Team based in Swindon. You will provide in depth financial analysis & modelling to support financial decision making across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret financial data from a range of sources and build detailed financial models.
- Understanding financial risk, translate strategic priorities into long term financial plans.
- Work with finance colleagues across the business to model the financial impacts of business decision making on financial plans.
- Building financial models to support major financial decisions including translating the organisations strategy & priorities into setting budgets and creating long term financial plans.
- Utilise analytical skills to aid financial decision making on assets & infrastructure projects.
- Collect external data to carry out benchmarking and make recommendations to improve performance.
- Analyse financial data and trends in order to provide insight to senior management to understand the financial performance and influence decision making.
Person Specification:
- Full or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA) is desirable but not essential, or equivalent experience (QBE).
- Experience in working in financial & data analysis roles in complex organisations.
- A good working knowledge of
Microsoft Office:
Excel (Pivot tables, lookups, etc), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams (essential).
- Previous experience of Oracle &/or other accounting systems (desirable).
- Understanding & experience of working with public sector finance & governance frameworks.
- Strong numerical, analytical & critical thinking & problemsolving skills, with ability to distil complex & often incomplete management information into the key elements required to deliver projects & influence decision making at a strategic level.
