About The Role:
We have an excellent new opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join our team based in our Hospital in Plymouth.
Day shift 0730 to 2000 and the Night shift from 1930 to 2000.
The Ward Clerk is required to manage varied administrative and compliance procedures within the ward and providing a prompt and courteous service to all patients, visitors and members of the clinical team.
You will be liaising with other members of the admin team and other departments ensuring a first class and seamless service is delivered.
What you'll be doing:
Being the Ward Clerk in this role will see you booking post operative appointments, monitoring a patient's movements in the ward and advising nursing staff when patients are being returned to the ward from theatre, this will include communicated with patients directly and their families.
You will be accountable for managing the wards input on to the MAXIMS system, this will include audit data, clinical outcomes and required notes.
You will be required to attend meeting and take minutes; you will often need to ensure these notes are written and distributed to all required parties and maintain a file with these meeting minutes.
To be considered for the Ward Clerk opportunity you would have performed in a similar role, ensuring compliance within a department, liaising with varied internal and external personal, ensuring patient / customer satisfaction and the smooth running of process.
You will be a strong communicator at all levels and an experienced administrator, you will be computer literate and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
