Teaching Assistant Required for Immediate Start


We are working with a large mainstream primary school in Scarborough who urgently need a Teaching Assistant with a specialism in working with children who have an SEN diagnosis.

Focusing the majority of your work around a pupil who has high needs emotionally, your input, support and nurturing approach will help the pupil to not only get through the day successfully in a classroom setting, but to thrive and achieve whilst having a positive experience of their time in education.

Though deemed low risk, this pupil needs emotional reassurance to ensure they can feel settled in the classroom environment and keep the pupil in the best learning environment.

This will be a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a child's development.


The role
You will work in line with school opening Monday to Friday, term time only.


This is a specific long-term role in a well-regarded school in Scarborough.


As a specialist teaching assistant within this school, you will work with pupils who require additional support in addition to the role around this one pupil as needed, working with them to manage their behaviour as well as ensuring that they successfully achieve the desired outcomes of the day.

The role will be varied; providing support on a 1:1 basis and supporting across the wider classroom; ensuring that all pupils are meeting curriculum standards.


The school require someone who has experience of providing this support and you must be able to work 5 days a week.

Requirements:

Relevant qualification

Previous experience working with children

SEN experience

UK resident

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
