Senior Administration Assistant -Totton
Family Support Services (FSS)
Monday - Friday 37 hours per week


You will be working with the Family Support Service in Totton Hub (1 High Street), supporting the Family Support Workers (FSW's) with their administration duties.

This will be a hybrid role, working form home and attending the office as and when requiredby the Team Manager.


Experience of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets is a must, as is Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.

Play a supporting role in helping the County's most vulnerable children


Your administrative skills and talent for organisation will be highly valued here in the Children's Services Family Support Services team.

Based at Totton Hub, working mostly from home (up to 50% office attendance will be required) our teams work to safeguard young people, promote their welfare, and maximise their life chances.

We want you to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes to reduce the administrative burden on your colleagues.

The more efficient and effective your contribution, the more our FSW's can focus on direct work with children and families.

You willbe working for and with Children's Services Family Support Services team.


The duties involve everything from scanning documentation onto our system and sending out letters through to accurately updating client records and maintaining accurate data in excel spreadsheets.

Administrative experience is essential, along with good ITand communication skills.


Minimum person requirement is:


  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Previous general administrative experience.
  • Minute taking experience
  • Computer literate in the use of a variety of software for data handling and transmission.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels.
  • A strict regard for confidentiality is essential.
  • Travel to and from the office.
