The role we have on offer is a rotational position and will involve working within the Main Dispensary.


Within the Dispensary you will dispense prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients, as well as greeting patients and staff at our reception.

The reception area is a busy, dynamic environment where you will be able to use all your communication skills to their full potential.


Previous Pharmacy experience is desirable but not necessary as training will be given in all aspects of the job, including use of the computer system.

You will also be expected to attain the NVQ Level 2 within 12 months of taking up the post.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To undertake a range of routine technical duties in support of Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians


Duties will include:
Manning the pharmacy reception which will be the core service of this role.

Assembly and dispensing of items against prescriptions and ward diaries.

Providing a pharmacy ward top-up service to allocated ward(s).

Receiving stock from suppliers within the pharmacy store.

Assisting in the delivery and collection of pharmacy items to and from wards and departments.
