The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth we require a Bid Writer to join our Cyber Security Division team at Leonardo in the UK and increase our market share in supporting, securing and realising the benefits of resilient digital transformation to the UK and other nations, specifically where safety, security of business critical systems operate in complex environments.

You will be joining our highly skilled team within the Cyber Security Division.

This is a great opportunity to bring your talents and form an integral part of Leonardo's future taking responsibility for writing bids within a business area to deliver a full range of systems and solutions for complex and mission critical environments where the security of systems and facilities are paramount.

As a Bid Writer, you'll be working within the Bid Teams, supporting them in coordinating input to submission elements, creating and delivering persuasive, compliant and engaging high scoring submissions in order to secure contracts and increase the Division's growth and development
What you will do:

Your key responsibility areas will include:
Ownership of the proposal development process, including planning, writing, re-writing and re-working technical and non-technical high scoring bid responses for Cyber Division tenders, pre-qualifications and general bid submissions.
Liaison with internal and external stakeholders in order to communicate requirements, deadlines and expectations. Identify, coordinate and tailor all required materials ensuring alignment between sections, plans and wider objectives, to ensure bids are submitted on time, with consistency, and in a professional manner.
Work closely with our Bid Management team and Sales to assess and prepare bid plans and bid processes, including reviews with internal stakeholders to ensure a collective approach to final submissions.
Develop and maintain a library of standard materials, data, evidence and testimonials to ensure quick and professional submission of ITT, PQQ and SQs.
Administer document control and knowledge/proposal management systems.
Provide support to marketing and product development to update and optimise content, making sure it creatively communicates and reflects key campaigns and bids and recurring bid themes.

What we are looking for:

You will be required to engage and influence Integrated Project Teams, and, bid strategy in order to ensure effective implementation of a consistent bid process. The successful applicant will compose compelling proposals that win work in line with agreed contractual agreements and customer expectations.
