Assist the Systems Lead in frontline support and system maintenance. To support relevant internal and external projects where skills match the requirements.


Frontline Support (40%)

• Client inbox triaging and assignment of tasks, where appropriate
• Acceptance testing
• Assisting internal colleagues with IT queries
• Providing first response to clients, where appropriate
• Monitoring and diagnosing systems and issues

Project delivery (40%)

• Working on assigned tasks per project priorities
• Actively participate in code review
• Ensuring worked issues/tasks are always up to date on status & estimates
• Engaging with stakeholders to escalate issues and discuss solutions
• Identifying and escalating creeping scope to project leadership & project control
• Identifying and escalating the increasing complexity of an issue to project leadership & project control

Maintenance (20%)

• System updates internally and for clients
• Internal systems

Qualifications/skills

Required:

• Basic familiarity with deploying resources into Azure or AWS
• Basic experience with infrastructure as code, e.g., Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible/Puppet/Docker
• Managing Linux operating systems via SSH

Desirable:

• Usage of git for collaboration on code
• Terraform/Ansible specifically
• Ubuntu/RedHat specifically
• Using and managing Kubernetes
• GitLab and GitLab CI job configuration
• NFS file share configuration
• Authentication experience
• Frontline support
• Network and firewall configuration

Salary:
£33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
