The role and what we are looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA.


In collaboration with class teachers and other support staff, the post holder supports, plans, prepares, and delivers elements of learning to students on a one-to-one, small group, or class basis.


You will work under the guidance of designated teachers and senior staff, undertaking whole class cover and support programmes that enable access to learning for our pupils.

You must have a real passion for supporting staff and children to create a rich, inclusive, and balanced educational environment.

You will be positive, passionate, and enthusiastic with the ability to instill these qualities in our children.


We need you to be a highly-skilled, positive, and friendly team player, be able to model excellent spoken and written English, and be dedicated to building positive relationships with families to boost achievement and well-being.

It is vital you are committed to and skilled at helping children achieve, no matter what their starting point is.

To be successful in this role you will**- Have at least NVQ Level 3 and GCSE Level C or above in English and mathematics.

  • Lead whole classes or small groups of pupils
  • Establish relationships with other professionals or agencies to support the work of pupils
  • Attending staff meetings and contributing to the development of the school
  • Assisting teachers in offering guidance to support staff
  • Preparing and developing resources for learning activities
  • Reporting on the progress made by pupils
