Furze Hill House was opened in November 2007 as a purpose built Home for 40 older people.

Most of the residents are from the local area and many continue to remain in touch with families, friends and the local community.

It is located on the outskirts of the lovely and historic North Norfolk market town of North Walsham.

Furze Hill's mission is to provide care in a safe, secure and homely environment.

The aim is to give quality care in a purpose built home, so that an individual's physical, emotional and spiritual needs are met.

Support is given to each resident whilst also encouraging their independence. Special attention is paid to the needs of people with dementia.

Encouragement is given to residents to acquire new skills and interests as this will give a sense of purpose and quality of life, so as to maintain mental, physical and spiritual health and well-being.


As
Care Assistant you will provide support in assisting residents with activities of daily living as well as assist residents with personal care.

You will work as part of the care staff team to ensure the residents are able to live a life that they desire, within the safety and parameters of 24-hour care.


We are looking for Care Assistants who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people.

This could be either through previous roles in social care or in other roles.


You will be providing personal care to residents, as well as supporting them to take part in a wide range of activities.

This includes arts and crafts, music, trips and regular themed events.
