Senior Paraplanner
Nottinghamshire (our ref AL1208)
Salary to c£45,000 + excellent benefits
My client is an award-winning, Nottinghamshire based IFA and they have an outstanding new opportunity for an experience Paraplanner to join and lead their Paraplanning Team.
Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with the financial planners, helping to give advice to our clients.
- You will create lifetime cashflow forecasts with multiple scenarios to test the extent to which clients can achieve their goals.
- Write financial plans with summary advice, accompanied by a suitability report for regulated recommendations.
- With strong technical knowledge, you will support other members of the team, being responsible for their technical development and ongoing learning.
- Using your experience of defined benefit pensions, you will prepare the necessary assessments and advice for clients when required, and support other members of the team in this area.
- Lead Paraplanning Team meetings
- Ensuring financial plans and ongoing reviews for your clients are delivered accurately and on time, with subsequent transactions processed accurately and according to service expectations.
- Hold a place on the Companys' Investment & Research Committee so you can shape the advice they give.
- Maintain and develop the templates & calculators and input into process development.

- This is a fulltime role with hybrid working and flexible hours. The office is closed Mondays and Fridays. You would be expected to usually work in the office Tuesday

Experience we're looking for:
- Chartered status, with strong technical knowledge and at least 5 years paraplanning experience.
- Pension transfer qualifications and experience in preparing defined benefit pension advice.
- Working holistically, able to see a clients' 'big picture' and work out how they can best achieve their life goals.
- You may be used to financial planners who use the Kinder approach or similar.
- Comfortable with a wide range of financial planning areas, including: pension lifetime allowance, pension annual allowances, IHT including NRB and RNRB, business taxation reliefs, income tax and CGT allowances, offshore bonds, trusts, family investmentcompanies and life insurances.
- Strong capability with technology and systems, including cashflow forecasting, ideally Voyant.
- Great attention to detail, positive approach, and a problemsolving mindset.
