Partridge House is a 38-bed nursing home located in a residential area of Brighton, offering supported living services and nursing care to residents aged 65 and over.

Each resident receives personalised care to meet their care requirements. All residents are encouraged to take part in carefully planned activities to boost their cognitive stimulation and physical wellbeing. Partridge House aims to create a home-from-home feel, ensuring each resident is happy and fulfilled at their new home.


Job Summary


The post holder will have responsibility for leading a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of an excellent standard of care, which promotes independence and dignity, and positively enhances the lives of individuals in our care.


For the position, you will be required to provide clinical management experience, along with a caring and professional ethos, good clinical background, and a current up to date NMC pin.


What you'll be doing

  • To carry responsibility for the management of the unit during the day.
  • Develop and manage the skills of the care team.
  • To promote and maintain a high standard of nursing care.
  • To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with clinical supervision of trained staff, mentorship and assessment of student nurses and induction of new care staff.
  • To work within the NMC code of professional conduct and CQC standards as well as following internal policies and procedures.
  • Planning, directing and delivery of highquality personcentered care.
  • To undertake staff reviews and team meetings.
  • To monitor the quality of care offered.
  • To evaluate employee performance, monitoring nurses closely to ensure they fulfil their job duties and provide only the best care
