Description

The main purpose of the post is to undertake a range of duties involving MDT support and collection and input of data relating to cranial services carried out within University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB).

The post holder will be responsible for the validation and submission of mandatory data to national cranial registries on every patient who undergoes cranial surgery within UHB.

Prompt reporting of surgical data is now a core requirement by Commissioners.

The post holder will be expected to collate all of the surgical specific data in a timely fashion, ensuring the department meets all reporting and outcome deadlines.

In addition the post-holder will also coordinate the weekly cranial surgery Multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), ensuring lists of patients to be discussed and other relevant information are prepared and distributed in advance of the meeting, and that all patients have a management plan clearly recorded from the meeting.
