At Astute Recruitment, we are working with a growing Education Service Provider in their search for a Finance and Business Service Manager based near Derby City Centre.

The Finance and Business Service Manager will be an integral part of the Senior Management team.

The purpose of the role is to Lead the development and implementation of all financial and business services policies and procedures across the group of companies.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely as part of a mutually supportive senior management team to manage the Group's finance and business services activities and promote change to develop these activities
  • Preparation of succinct and timely reports, budgets, and forecasts for future business growth across each business area
  • Preparation of final yearend annual accounts for the three companies and close liaison with and support to the external auditors during the annual audit process
  • Lead the development of threeyear forecasts and oneyear budgets for each company with close liaison with the management team to produce current and future forecasts (3 years) of such budgets
  • Play a key role in the Senior Management Team in managing the performance of the business and in the development and implementation of company policies
  • Manage and develop the team both on a daytoday basis and via six monthly reviews
  • IT and Business Services Manager
  • IT Project Coordinator/Database manager
  • Finance Officer
  • Administration Team Manager

Requirements:


  • ACCA/ CIMA qualified
  • Strong technical accounting background and experience in contributing to the strategic and business planning process
  • Track record of management capability
  • Experience in managing others, setting targets, and monitoring progress
  • Strong attention to detail, negotiation skills, and a 'can do' attitude
  • Advanced Excel skills (including Pivot tables& V look ups)
