Great opportunity to join a Not-for-Profit organisation in Manchester

  • Parttime position (29 hours), Remote working

Their Manchester location is renowned for its dedicated team and supportive work culture.

  • Provide comprehensive HR support to the team.
  • Dealing with complex cases, such as disciplinary grievances and appeals.
  • Dealing with disputes appropriately (for example, mediation or tribunal cases).
  • Ensure compliance with all HRrelated legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication between management and staff.
  • Policy writing.
  • Managing longterm sick and absences.
  • Manage HR projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments.
  • Support in talent acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Ensuring managers are upskilled to deal with people in a fair and effective manner
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs.

The Successful Applicant:


A successful 'HR Advisor' should have:

  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the notforprofit and charities sector.
  • A demonstrable ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Remote working but some travel to the Manchester & Liverpool offices will be required.
