East Sussex County Council have the exciting opportunity to offer new posts for Case Workers within the Appointee & Deputyship Team (ADT).

There is one permanent post available and a one year fixed term post available to cover a secondment, both full-time.

The team helps adults who lack mental capacity to manage their own financial affairs.

They do this by taking on the responsibility by way of Department for Work and Pensions Appointeeship or Court of Protection Deputyship.

And the role will include, but not limited to

Budgeting
Making Best Interest Decisions
Liaising with clients, families, and professionals

This is a fast paced and developing service with high standards and aspirations to deliver a gold standard service to our customers.

You will be joining a highly motivated team who are passionate about the service they deliver. The team are hybrid working, with a mix of working from home and working in the office.

Due to the nature of the role, and the current home working arrangements, it is important that you are organised, self-motivated, decisive, and collaborative.

You will need knowledge of working with computers including Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office. You will work on several bespoke database systems for which you will receive full training.

Training for this role, will include the opportunity to complete the APAD (Association of Public Authority Deputies) accreditation.

Interviews will be held remotely w/c 07 August 2023.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
