About the role
Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Database Officer. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will be working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.

Sitting within the Engagement Operations Team, the Data Team comprises of this role (Database Officer), Senior Database Officer whom you will work closely with, and Database Manager who is responsible for the team's activity and will delegate project tasks as required.

Working with the rest of the Data Team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate data on Sense's supporter database (currently The Raiser's Edge) so that Engagement teams can liaise with their supporters in a timely and effective manner.

You will take control of transferring data from our third-party suppliers to the Sense network, conducting data quality, and also conducting weekly data hygiene routines, checking that details on the database are accurate.

Part of the role is also to carry out data selections; using a brief from an internal customer you will create queries on Raiser's Edge to meet the criteria and then produce and supply the file to the customer.

The role requires consistency and accuracy to ensure data integrity is maintained. You must show attention to detail and be adept at spotting errors whilst working in a methodical manner. Key skills and experience
Good understanding of relational databases, both technical knowledge and hands-on user experience
Understanding of general business principles
A clear understanding of data protection regulations and other regulatory frameworks
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels of the organisation
