With a track record of delivering successful projects, we continue to deliver cutting edge solutions to exceed our client's needs and we are actively seeking a dynamic Electrical Estimator to join the team at our Head office in Uddingston.

The Role

This is an exciting role where you will play a crucial part in supporting business development initiatives for various opportunities, ranging from multi-site to stand alone contracts, predominantly in the electrical domain with values up to £10M.

Assist with the approvals process to ensuring strict adherence to company procedures.
Generate detailed analytical estimates within defined timelines.
Actively participate in the detailed risk assessment process on all bids
Ensure thorough reviews of all tenders by the Estimating Lead or Directors
Establish and maintain a comprehensive library of outputs and pricing data.
Provide support in the production of bids across different parts of the business when necessary.
Take on the role of bid manager where required based on the value and complexity of the tender.
Undertake, oversee, and assist with the production and submission of estimates and tenders.
Demonstrate a proactive approach in supporting the business development function in contributing innovative solutions.

What we are looking for

Previous experience in a similar role within an M&E setting
Expertise in preparing precise and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical systems.
Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications.
In depth knowledge of electrical installations and construction methods
Ability to evaluate bids from subcontractors and clients.
Proficient in creating project budgets and cost plans.
Familiarity with the Microsoft office package and estimation Software (i.e. Trimble)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
