Description
I am recruiting an Electrical Supervisor for a busy and expanding business.

You will be time served and have experience of Electrical assembly.

The role is offered at a salary of £35 - £38K (paid hourly) with O/T paid at a premium rate


The role would suit somebody in a similar position or some one looking for the next stage in their career who has some supervisory experience (perhaps as holiday cover).

The Role

  • Organise the workload to ensure that all jobs are completed on time and to a high quality.
  • Issue daily production targets.
  • To complete and ensure the team complete accurate check sheets for each job.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team and advise them on the correct way of doing a job if they are unsure.
  • Provide training where required to both the electrical team and the wider team.
  • Ensure that all of the electrical team are able to work on all products.
  • Liaise with other Supervisors to enable the workload to be planned.
  • Keep the Production Manager informed of any issues and progress of the jobs.
  • Discuss with the Production Manager of hours required in order to complete the jobs.
  • Be handson with production activities as required.
  • Carry out performance reviews
  • Perform HR requirements including but not limited to carrying out investigations, disciplinary actions and grievances.
  • Ensure the team follow Health & Safety procedures, including but not limited to using the correct PPE, the use of safe working practices, maintaining safe working conditions by ensuring good housekeeping.
The Person

Essential

  • Experience in a similar role/ environment
  • Background in electrical assembly and engineering
  • Latest editions of wiring regulations i.e. 18th Edition
  • BS767
  • BSEN
  • Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 or 4 in Electrical Engineering
  • Good people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, listening and written
  • Knowledge on safe working practices
  • Ability to read both mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Ability to build internal relationships quickly with all levels
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Willingness to adopt changes
  • Ability to delegate and give clear instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure
Desirable

  • Experience in supervising
  • Experience in dealing with personnel issues
  • Experience in using quality procedures
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Ability to train others
  • Full Driving Licence
