Chapman Tate Associates seeks an IBM Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, to join this established award-winning IT Distributor within an international presence, whom are dedicated to making the transformation to the Cloud with ease.
Working within an established and growing IT Professional Services team, this role will be pivotal in acting as a conduit between the Technical and Sales team, assisting a number of existing customers evangelise and transform their IT Infrastructures.
As a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant you will have experience of various cloud architectures (Private, PublicCloud and Hybrid) and Cloud migration strategies.
You will have an good understanding of the different factors which influence or inhibit Cloud adoption and will be able to guide clients to make the right choices.
You will have a good breadth of knowledge around IBM hardware/Software Solutions, DR/Backup Recovery Software such as:
- IBM Power Servers expertise
- IBM Storage expertise
- Issue, incident and DR management
- Reporting, Analytics, Project Management
- Physical asset management expertise
- Data centre management & control (clients kit in our DC's)
- Business Partner; vendor & supplier management; excellent relationship management
- Access control management inc. password expertise
- Cloud technologies
- Monitoring & back up tools (such as: Halcyon; Zabbix; SolarWinds; VEEAM; Evault
- By providing expert technical knowledge and professional guidance across our pre-sales process through to implementation stages of projects
- To work closely with key teams within the business, identifying technical and business requirements across your client base and support within the solution design
- Deliver client engagements, shaping their IBM Cloud/DR Strategies and creating roadmaps for migration
- Expertly define, validate and promote quality solutions for an opportunity, bid or project as required
- Promote the development and reuse of knowledge across the business as required
You will have excellent customer facing skills and must be able to hold your own in sales and technical environments.
