Description

Day to day you will be working within the MCR (Master Control Room) team monitoring live sports streams, responding to client support queries, checking live systems, dealing with 3rd party content providers and other troubleshooting tasks.

Hours:
Shift work, mix of mornings, evenings and nights designed around a rotating, fixed, schedule.


Location:
Saintfield, Co. Down (10 mins from Carryduff, 16 mins from Ormeau Rd)


OVERVIEW

Primary Responsibility

• Monitor each live stream for QOS (Quality of Service) and successful delivery
• Consider service up time as high priority
• Satellite downlinking, decryption & decoding
• Verify & maintain operational booking tool
• Receive and manage satellite bookings and feeds from content partners
• Management of IP contribution circuits
• Ensure that channels and feeds are routed onto live feeds in accordance with the outlined schedule
• Monitor our CDN (Content Delivery Network) using monitoring tools, checking for throughput, latency and QOS
• Ensure a high level of support to clients whilst adhering to strict company SLAs (Service Level Agreements)

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• Good secondary education
• Good fundamental knowledge of IT
• Sound organisational skills
• Prepared to work weekends and evenings when required
• Access to own car/transport
• Excellent team player

Desirable:

• Previous experience with satellite/ IP ingest
• Knowledge of satellite TV and or global broadcasters
• Experience working in a support desk environment
• Experience in betting / gaming industry
• Knowledge of encryptions, working consumer and commercial encryptions
• Knowledge of IRD's and enthusiast consumer grade STB's
• Knowledge of commercial AV and RF infrastructures
• Prior experience of shift work
• Previous experience within an MCR environment
