Job Summary
- Build, maintain and support Maximus UK IT environments on premises and in the Cloud in accordance with industry best practice and ITIL standards
- Provide third line support to the business, ensuring that servers and underlying IT systems are available for use
Essential Job Duties
- Manage Group Policy and Active Directory structure
- Manage O365 deployment and its on going administration
- Manage hosted environments and Cloud based systems, primarily Azure
- Manage the deployment and hardening of systems infrastructure according to best practise requirements
- Manage Microsoft IIS administration, web security, firewalls and VPNs and ensure company security standards are met
- Assist Digital and Business Intelligence teams in installing and managing data warehouse, RPA and Power BI in Azure
- Deliver BAU activities in accordance with industry best practice and ITIL standards (ie, daily checks, patching, backup, performance monitoring )
- Conduct investigations into operational problems, make proposals for improvement, and implement them when appropriate
- Review releases, upgrades and fixes available from system software suppliers and identify those which merit action. Maintain awareness of existing and emerging software and hardware solutions and develops upgrade plans
- Prepare software implementation procedures with fall back contingency plans. Installs and tests new versions of system software
- Maintain and test BCDR plans
- Deal with 3rd line support tickets transferred by the Service Desk
- Take ownership of incidents and problems, ensuring systems and users are kept up to date
- Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adheres to all service management principles
- Comply with the Maximus UK Change Management process
- Produce and maintain accurate process documentation in accordance with the ISMS
Education and Experience Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Hands on experience on Microsoft environment including Active Directory, Exchange TCP/IP, ADFS, Load balancers, MDM Intune,..
- Familiar with IaaS concepts and methodologies
- Experience with feeding into Audits, SOC2, ISO27001, SOX, CE+
- Experience in looking after a VOIP communications system
- Able to communicate to all levels of staff, both verbally and in written format
- Able to work on his/her own initiative
- Able to multitasks
- Manage well work pressure and priorities changes
- At ease in an ever changing environment
- Embrace new technologies and new processes with enthusiasm
