Overview:

MacTaggart Scott are looking to recruit a Customer Order Co-ordinator to work in our Commercial Department.

Role:

This role reports directly into the Head of Commercial.

The Customer Order Co-Ordinator will manage the commercial relationship with customers for all spares and repairs orders executed by the business.

They will be responsible for the review and acceptance of customer orders, and the co-ordination of their execution through the business.


Duties will include:


  • The management of dedicated portfolio of spares, repairs and post design services orders, from cradle to grave. Liaising with all internal departments to successfully execute to customer expectation.
  • Assessing commercial risks to the business and collaborate with colleagues, whilst mitigating and managing those risks.
  • Ensuring departmental compliance with process and best practice.
  • Liaising with various departments in order to investigate and resolve customer issues.
  • Attending and leading internal and customer project reviews and prepare minutes.
  • Preparing progress reports and reviews for customers and management.
  • Seeking to learn and understand, as part of your ongoing growth and development, the importance of business risks, terms and conditions, milestone payment plans, cash flow, intellectual property, business agreements et al.

Essential skills, experience and knowledge requirements:

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to develop sustainable relationships.
  • Possess the ability to identify commercial risks and opportunities, and ability to devise mitigations
  • Be able to adapt standard agreements
  • Be confident in the forging of good working relationships and communicating with and influencing customers and colleagues.
  • Be prepared to learn new skills and will be interested in selfdevelopment within the role.
  • Have or be prepared to become qualified member of professional Contracting and Commercial body (IACCM).
  • Be able to work efficiently and effectively to prioritise a diverse range of tasks.
  • Be qualified and/or suitably experienced in a related (commercial\business) discipline.
