Milton Keynes

c£90,000-£100,000 + Bonus


An exceptionally rare opportunity to join an established, market leading business and make a truly tangible impact on not only the finance function, but also the business as a whole as it enters an exciting period of growth.


At over 25 years old, the organisation dominates its' niche and ever-growing market by providing products and services, both B2B & B2C.

The corporate client list boasts a host of household name organisations across hospitality, leisure, education, health,construction, and facilities management. The consumer business operates numerous e-commerce platforms that are the "go to" names in the industry.

The overriding ethos of the whole company is the provision of the very best customer service, to both big andsmall clients, and this is reflected in the plethora of awards received in recognition of this.


As the company enters a new chapter, as part of an International Group, the growth strategy, both organically and by acquisition, requires an exceptional individual to join the leadership team as Finance Director.

You will hold full responsibility for thefinance function and ensure the credibility and accountability of the department and its efficiency to deliver the highest level of service to the business.

You will take a key role as part of the SMT to drive improvement in Turnover, Margin, and EBITDA.

Your remit will include, but not be limited to:

Preparationof accounts, financial management and controls

  • Preparing the periodic weekly forecasts, as well Monthly and Annual Company accounts
  • Delivering monthly management consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statements
  • Effectively manage the working capital components of the Group with specific attention to stock, debtors and cash balances
  • Supporting the operational business with insightful forecasting and analysis to drive improvements in margin, EBITDA and cashflow
  • Overseeing intercompany transactions and the upkeep of rigorous Financial Controls & Process.
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems support the internal controls and are implemented and maintained
  • Managing Annual Audit
  • Overseeing the monthly Payroll function

Taxation

  • Corporation Tax computation, review and return
  • Overseeing of VAT returns for numerous entities

Team

  • Manage, motivate and develop the finance team
  • Supervise and review performance of individuals in the team
  • Implementation of a change management culture by challenging and replacing established processes and procedures where necessary
  • Liaise with different departments to ensure the Finance department is properly supporting the needs of the operating business


Applicants will be fully qualified, almost certainly from an audit foundation with a Top15 firm and have a demonstrable track record of financial control and management reporting.

This role will require you to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty,as well as provide strategic support and partnership to the Managing Director and the international parent group.

There are no ivory towers available here, the business is very TEAM orientated and has a genuine "family feel", despite its stature.
