**_Full Driving Licence
- **The team requires a Senior Surveyor to manage technical officers, charge hands and surveyors in undertaking damp and mould and day to day technical inspections.

You will also be responsible for mutual exchanges, alternation requests etc.

managing upwards of 10 officers day to day, offering technical advice and support as well as day to day management.

It is essential that you are able to drive a vehicle for inspections if required (reimbursement for mileage and congestion will be paid.)

This role will be based in Peckham but working across the whole of Southwark.

**Qualifications
**- Professional qualification e.g., CIBSE, RICS, CIOB, IFE, IOSH (e.g., NEBOSH level 3 minimum) or equivalent

  • Full driving licence
  • Formal qualification in relevant and recognised management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 31000, 45001, BS997)
  • Professional membership with an industry recognised building safety related organisation, or currently working towards attaining

Skills & experience:


  • Previous experience as a Surveyor, working at a senior level.
  • Previous experience of managing teams, that may have included technical officers, charge hands and surveyors.
  • Previous experience of undertaking survey of damp and mould and other day to day technical inspections.
  • Able to travel to sites as required
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the relevant Building Safety Legislation (Building Safety Bill, Fire Safety Act, Duty of Care) and the actions the Council needs to take to meet the relevant requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of effectively working within a building safety assurance function within social housing and strong audit and change management skills using new/existing systems including suitable CAPA methodology
  • Demonstrable experience to positively engage and influence others with an ability to problem solve in a proactive positive way to enable the delivery of project and service improvement
  • Physically able to access all areas e.g., climb stairs, access restricted spaces/service areas, use ladders to inspect roof/void spaces, etc.
  • Able to comply with lone worker device and use policy
  • Able to respond to work requirements through flexible working
