Warehouse Team Leader - The Role:

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader with excellent motivational skills to lead and develop a team of associates to ensure the provision of exceptional service to our customer.

Working days and hours (inclusive of 30 minute unpaid meal break per day)for this role are:


  • Friday: 06:00 to 16:00
  • Saturday: 06:00 to 16:00
  • Sunday: 19:00 to 05:00
  • Monday: 16:00 to 02:00

Warehouse Team Leader - Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise productivity by improving efficiency
  • Ensure all operating processes are carried out with Health and Safety at the forefront
  • Ensure recording of all accidents /incidents and completion of all relevant documentation
  • Ensure all quality controls are adhered to
  • Effective resource planning
  • Ensure housekeeping is exemplary
  • Monitoring of sickness and conducting return to work interviews/first line counselling, investigations and disciplinary
  • Update and maintain all VCB boards
  • Motivation of staff and leading by example
  • Recognise and implement opportunities to use energy more efficiently, and promote energy saving initiatives within area of responsibility

Warehouse Team Leader - You:


Essential:

  • Vocational training and expertise

Desirable:

  • Current and valid First Aid Qualification

Experience:


  • Commercial awareness
  • Previous experience of managing a team of associates in a manufacturing /logistics environment
  • Knowledge of legal and statutory requirements within a warehouse environment

Skills:


  • Good MS Office skills including Microsoft Outlook & Excel
  • Acceptable standard of English, both oral and written.
  • Supervision of staff within a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to delegate and explain tasks to others
  • Good understanding of and commitment to safe working practices
  • Good communication skills and customer focused
