Description
The role responsibilities:
- Create solutions based around internal technology to meet customers Hydrogen engineering needs.
- Drive the Hydrogen solutions Product/System development with the Hydrogen development engineers
- Organise pilot plants and on site testing to demonstrate the effectiveness of the solutions created
- Benchmark competitors technology, prepare competitor analysis to allow Sales to sell business benefits
- Prepare cost estimation for the solutions created
- Generate New IP for the business based around the solutions identified.
- Presentations at customers, trade associations and seminars to highlight the benefits of internal technology and solutions.
- Educate colleagues and other engineers in relevant divisions on technology and solutions.
- Develop solutions which position as the preferred choice for hydrogen technology.
- Create solutions which the business can generate Intellectual Property around.
- Create hydrogen technology which will allow the business to gain a significant market share.
- Educate internal shareholders and customer employees about the benefits of the technical solutions developed.
- Support sales teams to achieve a high hit rate on for purchase enquiries
- Ensure that technology offered is constantly updated to provide customers with highest value in the target market segment
- Support field testing capabilities required by the market when requested.
- Present at least one success story at an industry conference every year.
- Be involved in industry body committees to drive the direction of market development in line with business strategy
The Person we're looking for:
- Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent is preferred; mechanical engineering qualification considered with appropriate experience
- Previous experience of working on Hydrogen, O&G, Petrochemical or Chemical facilities would be an advantage
- Energy optimisation/ integration knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Fluent in English. Other European languages will be an advantage
- Good organisational skills with a high degree of selfmotivation
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as being a selfstarter
- Confident and outgoing, patient and adaptable, diplomatic and assertive
- Working knowledge of relevant hydrogen standards would be advantageous
- Experienced in ATEX design and testing.
