Part time
Description

We believe that everyone deserves a chance in life to become who they want to be regardless of their situation, and with the support and guidance from our dedicated team of staff with over two decades of knowledge, we believe we can achieve positive outcomes for all.

AMAT have been ever present in the homeless sector offering supported accommodation to the people in Kent, and are pleased to say we have not and would not furlough any staff during lockdowns due to the nature of the work we do, and the fact that we operate all year round. We are currently looking to recruit a part time Domestic Operative to join our amazing team.

You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our properties, including complete cleaning of empty rooms and flats and making beds in order to make them ready for new residents, bagging and tagging resident's belongings as required, cleaning communal areas in all properties and resident bedrooms as required, cleaning offices and toilets and ad hoc duties as required.

Please note this is a very physical role, as there will often be occasions where lifting furniture, and carrying cleaning equipment will be required.

The hours for this position are 20 hours per week, with the option of working days and hours that suit you between 8.30am, and 5.30pm.

At AMAT, we are focused on delivering the best service we can to our service users, and operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service in order to achieve this.

As such, you will be required to work bank holidays (including Christmas day and New Year's Day on a rota basis).

Therefore, flexibility is key to this role

  • 28 days annual leave, rising in increments to 33 days (pro rata, based on working five days a week)
  • A contributory workplace pension scheme, in which AMAT will contribute the equivalent of 3% of your pensionable salary
  • Comprehensive training package including both inhouse classroom and E-Learning courses, which have been tailored to develop the skills and knowledge needed to work at AMAT
  • Regular 12 weekly line management supervisions, and development focused annual appraisals
  • AMAT's Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available to all staff
  • Access to an online employee financial wellbeing hub
  • Free tea/coffee for all staff
This is a very varied role, and if you are looking for a challenge and want to make a difference, we look forward to hearing from you
