Overview:


As a Front of House Supervisor at our gastro pub, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front-of-house services.

You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the front-of-house team, maintaining high standards of customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the establishment.


Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the front-of-house team, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders, to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive work environment.

Service Excellence: Ensure that all guests receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service. Monitor service standards, address any issues or concerns, and implement improvements as needed to enhance the overall dining experience.

Training and Development: Provide training and ongoing coaching to front-of-house staff to ensure they are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify opportunities for growth and development.

Operations Management: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery.

Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene throughout the front-of-house area. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Customer Relations: Interact with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner. Build rapport with regular customers and create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.

Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies to enhance sales, improve profitability, and achieve business objectives. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage offerings and special promotions.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including those related to food safety, alcohol service, and employee conduct. Take appropriate action to address any violations or concerns.


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or gastro pub setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including ordering, inventory management, and menu development.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in food handling and sanitation.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification in food safety and responsible alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.
