Description

Puffin care Homes is a new Childrens Home that aims to provide high quality care for children with challenging behaviour, ASD and learning difficulties.

Our age range is 8 years to 18 years, and our first home will have 1-2 children.


We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated r.i to join our team on a part-time basis (1-2 days per week).


Requirements:


  • A level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare).
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in managing a home that carries a rating of good or above.
  • Knowledge of children's home regulations and quality standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of Ofsted requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with a proven track record of developing and improving services.
  • Experience in writing, developing and updating policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
  • A full driving licence

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Steer home towards Ofsted registration including preparation of the home inspection.
  • Develop relationships and links with partner agencies.
  • To be the Ofsted RI for the children's home and act on behalf of the organisation to ensure the home meets relevant requirements set out in legislation.
  • Provide effective leadership and management of the home.
  • Ensure a high standard of consistent care and service in accordance with legislation and standards and the policy and procedures of the registered provider.
  • Assist in the recruitment process.
  • Display good commercial acumen to develop and produce operationally viable and cost effective solutions to business development opportunities.
  • Implement quality assurance to monitor and evaluate standards of the individual and of the team performance, to support the company to achieve its objectives to continously improve on quality.
  • A strong commitment to the safeguarding, Foster positive relationships between staff, children, and families, ensuring the best outcomes for each children's long term Care and development.
