Job Introduction

An opportunity has arisen to join our Accounts Receivable team, helping Staffordshire to face the issues currently challenging local government.


The aim of Accounts Receivable is to be efficient and effective in the collection and recording of income and in the recovery of debt to enable good financial management.


The council has adopted flexible working policies which support a good work-life balance and enable its officers to work part of their time from home.

Main Responsibilities

This post will work primarily within income receipting processes dealing with the recording of payments by cash, card and other electronic methods.


You should have at least two years of experience working in a financial function and have a sound knowledge of debt recovery processes and procedures.


You must have good numeric and literacy skills, be effective in their use of spreadsheet and word-processing tools and capable of retrieving and manipulating information for the production of reports.


The role requires the ability to communicate effectively with customers and with colleagues across disciplines and to work flexibly and creatively to meet changing priorities.
