Bar StaffThekla is an award-winning live music venue and nightclub in the heart of the Bristol floating harbour. We are looking for friendly team players who is passionate about bartending, helping others, or promoting our venue.
We are hosting an open day at the venue on Tuesday 5th September between 12pm and 6pm. Please bring along an up-to-date CV and come have a chat with us
Bar Staff Responsibilities:
- Skilfully prepare and serve a wide array of drinks. Both spirit and mixer, and packaged.
- Maintain an indepth knowledge of our drink menu and confidently make recommendations to our valued customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring each guest enjoys a pleasant and memorable experience.
- Keep the bar area clean, organised, and wellstocked, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow team members, fostering a harmonious and professional work environment.
Welfare Crew Responsibilities:
- Be the guardian angel of our patrons, actively observing and identifying customers who may be showing signs of vulnerability or intoxication.
- Approaching intoxicated individuals with empathy and respect, offering assistance, and ensuring they feel support and comfortable.
- Engage in responsible alcohol service, adhering to our club's policies and guidelines to prevent overconsumption.
- Collaborate with management, security and other staff members to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.
- Educate patrons on the importance of moderation and responsible drinking habits, promoting a culture of wellbeing.
Promo Staff Responsibilities:
- Spreading the word about our upcoming club nights.
- Distributing eyecatching flyers and irresistible promos.
- Engaging with potential guests, igniting their interest for our venue.
- Stay uptodate with the latest exciting trends in the local scene and feedback to management to continuously tailor our experiences.
- Be open to trying new promotions strategies and adapting to changing circumstances.

We ask that all successful applicants are available for in person training on Monday 11th September, with work starting week commencing Monday 18th September.
