Cerberus has a dedicated Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") team that is responsible for overseeing and implementing the Firm's ESG policies and proceduresThe team's responsibilities include:
monitoring industry and regulatory trends, coordinating ESG issues across the Firm and investment desks, collaborating with portfolio companies to monitor ESG performance and address areas of risk and value creation, analyzing and monitoring ESG data, preparing ESG reporting and communications, and designing/leading cross-platform ESG initiatives.
The Cerberus ESG team advises on a full spectrum of engagements spanning Operational Private Equity, Real Estate, Global Credit, Emerging Markets, and Cerberus Frontier.
The Role:
Cerberus is currently seeking to hire a UK full-time Summer Intern to join their ESG team based in the London office from 1 July 2024 through 9 August 2024.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provide project support to ESG team members including tracking project progress, editing deliverables such as investor presentations, and aggregating and analyzing ESG data
- Assist with research and evaluation of varying ESG programs
- Perform data collection on ESG metrics and compile databases for projects
- Research ESG trends and present findings to the team
- Provide administrative support to ESG leadership, including coordination of calendars/meetings and preparing materials
- Assist ESG team members with due diligence on current and prospective investments
- Support quarterly reporting initiatives
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Passion for ESG and sustainability
- Interest in various sustainability issues that arise in financial services, including policies, regulatory and normative frameworks, data
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Past internship and/or ESG professional experience a plus
- Experience with and knowledge of ESG databases (e.g. Bloomberg) and data management software a plus
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with multiple projects and varying deadlines
- Experience analyzing large data sets
- Experience formatting and editing documents, and creating and updating presentations
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills, selfstarter
Eligibility:
Eligible Students should be
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme and have completed at least one (1) year
- Have the Right to Work in the UK (this role does not offer any form of sponsorship)
