Role Purpose:

Elevate the academic achievement of Looked After Children and Care Leavers, whether placed within or outside the borough, by focusing on admissions, attendance, attainment, progress, tuition, enrichment, and fostering inclusion.
Manage a caseload of Looked After Children as assigned by the Virtual School Headteacher.
Monitor the academic progress of Looked After Children and Care Leavers from Nursery to age 18 within their caseload.
Lead the delivery of highquality, timely Personal Education Plans (PEPs) to enhance the attainment of Looked After Children both within and outside the borough.
Support social workers, personal advisors, carers, and schools in fulfilling their obligations in delivering PEPs and executing the PEP Action Plan.
Provide guidance and assistance to Care Leavers still pursuing education.
Contribute to policy and procedure development.
Contribute to training programs for school staff, social workers, foster carers, key workers, and other relevant personnel.
Facilitate enrichment and extracurricular learning opportunities for Hillingdon Looked After Children and Care Leavers.
Establish and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies to ensure comprehensive services for Looked After Children, Previously Looked After Children, and Care Leavers.
Assist Virtual School Lead Practitioners in their respective areas of responsibility.
Participate in the ongoing enhancement of the Virtual School.
