Waterhouse are looking to further develop our estimating department withing the business due to increased tendering and tender winning.

Experience in construction tendering is essential, and you'll already have experience of estimating for M&E (electrical bias preffered) projects and a background in a similar role with an estableshed contractor.

Excellent IT skills are just as important, and you'll ideally have experience of using estimating software.

Either way, you'll bring strong attention to detail, accurate reporting skills, a professional approach, and a genuine ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Finally, you'll also need a full, valid driving license.

Responsibilities;

Spearheading our estimating function across the region
Providing essential advice and guidance on all construction projects
Working with our buying department to produce material enquiries
Delivering analytical tenders for all projects from bills of quantities, specification and drawings
Preparing costs, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers, and leasing across the business
Delivering the best possible value and service
Review tender designs and compile suggested schedule of value engineering opportunities
Attend site surveys
