An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent role as Data & Clarity PPM Technical Specialist to join the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) working from either London or Manchester, minimum 8 days in the office a month and reporting to the Data Manager.

Smart DCC needs to ensure that its product and change portfolio is delivered effectively and efficiently.

As a result a new EPMO capability is being established to plan, monitor, assure and report on delivery of all initiatives across the business.

The Enterprise Portfolio Management team will be responsible for improving the strategic alignment and value for money of Smart DCC's change portfolio.

The EPMO additionally provides the objective 'single source of truth' view of delivery performance for the portfolio and leads the management / resolution of cross-programme risks, issues and points of contention to maximise effectiveness of change implementation.

This role is for a proactive, analytical and engaging Data & Clarity PPM Technical Specialist. DCC is looking to roll out Clarity PPM across the enterprise to manage projects, programmes and initiatives. As well as using this for resource planning.

The main responsibilities of the role will be designing, developing, and maintaining CA Clarity PPM solutions and associated data to meet the needs of our organisation.

Working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable technical solutions.

Providing first and second line support for the tool and additionally you will be responsible for building integrations with other systems using CA Clarity PPM protocols.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements and then translate business requirements into technical solutions using CA Clarity PPM protocols
  • Design, develop, implement, continuously improve and maintain:
  • Clarity PPM integrated workflow and processes
  • e.g for governance & gating, approvals
  • Clarity PPM integrations with 3rd party tools, including finance systems, HR systems and SharePoint
  • Clarity PPM configurations and controls across all modules (Ideas / Pipeline, Enterprise Planning, Programme & Project Management, Resource Management, Time Recording)
  • Reporting using appropriate tools e.g. Jaspersoft, PowerBI
  • Support the Data Manager in fostering a culture of data quality and continuous improvement
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for DCC specific Clarity PPM configurations, integrations, workflow specifications and designs
  • Stay current on the Clarity PPM feature release roadmap and best practices, identifying and recommending improvements to existing processes
  • Train and mentor the DCC Clarity user community on Clarity PPM best practices, developing appropriate guidance and training materials / user guides
What are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience of data management within a PMO or similar environment.

  • 3+ years of experience working with Clarity PPM in a technical specialist / developer capacity hands on design and implementation of customised workflow, integrations, processes and reporting
  • Experience with Clarity PPM customisation and configuration across all modules
  • The ability to influence, shape and drive improvement initiatives in fastpaced and complex environments with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Excellent relationship development and management skills with the confidence to effectively collaborate with and challenge others where appropriate
