Job Opportunity:

Sustainability Advisor (Graduate or Apprentice)- Careys is on a mission to be the most trusted and socially responsible construction company that people are proud to work with.

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Quality (HSSQ) team as a Trainee Sustainability Advisor - Graduate or Apprentice.- Purpose of the Role: You will play a vital role in implementing sustainable practices across our construction projects.

Working closely with our sustainability team, you will contribute to our commitment to sustainable development, resource efficiency, and social responsibility within the construction industry.


What you will be doing:

Project Support:


  • Assist the sustainability team in implementing sustainable practices across construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate sustainable goals into project plans and execution.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Collect data related to energy consumption, waste management, water usage, and other relevant sustainability metrics.
  • Analyse collected data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for resource efficiency.

Research and Innovation:


  • Stay informed about the latest sustainability trends, regulations, and technologies in the construction industry.
  • Contribute to research efforts aimed at identifying innovative solutions for sustainable construction practices.

Stakeholder Communication:


  • Assist in preparing sustainability reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings with presentations to share insights and updates on sustainability initiatives.

Training and Awareness:


  • Collaborate with the sustainability team to develop and deliver training sessions for project teams, promoting awareness of sustainable practices and their benefits

Environmental Compliance:


  • Assist in monitoring compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
  • Support the implementation of measures to ensure the company's adherence to sustainability and environmental requirements

Community Engagement:


  • Participate in community engagement activities related to sustainability initiatives, showcasing the company's commitment to responsible construction practices.
