Care Assistants (Night Shifts)

Night Shifts: 2100 hrs until 0800 hrs.

Renumeration:

Carers (Nights): starting at £12.82 per hour to £13.34 per hour. Depending on experience. Enhanced rates at weekends.

The Abbeyfield (Somerset) Society currently has vacancies for BANK Care Staff.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for supporting older people in a residential setting and for people living with dementia to help them to continue to build and develop new relationships, support them to make friends, begin a new adventure, and help them to do something they have always wanted to do.

You will support our residents to make choices and do the things they want to do, not what we want them to do.

The role under the supervision of the Team Supervisor:

As a valued member of our team, key to helping us provide the support and care our residents deserve
Providing and meeting the personal, emotional and mental health care needs of the residents which promotes independence
To work alongside health care professionals and building relationships with families and colleagues
Safe management and administration of medication (depending on role applied for and if qualified to do so)
Demonstrate a personled approach and be a role model for our values and behaviours
Supporting residents to access activities and engage in meaningful occupation
Possess excellent social and communication skills and be someone who leads by example

What you will need:

Previous experience in a care role
Computer skills use of digital care planning systems
Compassion and integrity
Be passionate, possess good communication, organisational and time management skills
Friendly, warm and enthusiastic character
