Occam is a provider of testing services to the Contact Center and Telecommunications markets.

We're looking for someone who is ambitious and creative to join us.


Our customers are diverse, being; Telecoms companies, Contact Center Vendors (Manufacturers), Contact Center Value Added Resellers (VAR's), Contact Center End Users.

We require the skills of an articulate Content Creator to generate a full suite of customerfacing content from our document repository, which has been created by our techies and nerds.

People are busy. And there's lots of competing demands for their time. Only the most relevant, useful, entertaining and human content gets attention. So we want you to make sure our content is worthy of people's time.

We want a focus on bringing to life the topics that matter most to Contact Centers and Telecoms companies. Someone who is passionate about creative content in all shapes and forms. A strong writer who can spot a good story.


Someone who believes creativity is the way to stand out in a busy inbox or social feed is our kind of person.

And who gets excited about creating content to help our customers to believe that our business and products can make a positive difference to theirs.

This role requires ideas and creativity. We're not looking for specific industry or sector experience. But you do need a hunger to learn and do great work.

And to demonstrate the following requirements:

  • Copywriting while great communication is more than just great writing, you'll need to be a very strong writer. You'll need to understand tone and how to create written communication that cuts through the ability to take techie speak and turn it intorelatable content.


  • Storytelling

  • You'll need to understand what makes a great story and have experience in translating a customer requirement into effective and impactful communications.
  • Confidence and creativity we'll need you to believe in your ideas and be confident in developing and sharing them. You'll need to be comfortable and prepared to stand up for your ideas when you need to. But also diplomatic to bring people with you andunderstand that progress happens one step at a time.
  • Team you'll be a team player first and foremost. You'll be working alongside other employees, as well as our Outbound marketing partners and SEO/Adwords Partners. Supporting and working collaboratively with them.
  • World view you'll need to be able to get a good grasp of some of the most pressing issues in our customer verticals (Contact Centers and Telecoms companies). What matters in business? What's in the news? What are people worried about or inspired by? Weneed to be what people are interested in, so the ability to relate what we're doing to the real world is essential.
  • Focus if you can write well and have ideas you'll be in demand. People will ask for your help. While there will be lots of support and guidance from the team, being able to focus and prioritise is a must.


  • Care

  • We're a small team trying to make people think differently about the content we are producing. It's a fun team, but fun isn't the same as easy. We have high standards and so you'll need to care and take pride in producing great work. And be preparedto roll up your sleeves and push for excellence. Always.

Connect to your Industry


This role is all about developing content and bringing to life the topics that matter most to Contact Centers and Telecoms companies.

And this won't just be writing 500-word articles - from interviews to case studies, social media and podcasts, we like tokeep things creative.


You'll be producing content for our website and social pages (Linked In, Twiter etc) - from personal interviews to punchy social copy on complex topics.

And we'll look to you come up with new ideas to keep our content fresh or try a new approach.


And you'll also be responsible for upholding our creative content principles, both through leading the development of creative work, and by advising our sales teams on how to get the best from their content through presentations and training sessions.

You'll be a contributor to our wider Brand and Marketing strategies, comprising many different skills and experiences.

And you'll be working with stakeholders at multiple different levels from across the business, as well as external agencies and Partners.

As you can probably see, there will be lots of variety, each day will be challenging.

And you'll join our efforts to always be on the lookout for new ideas - finding brilliant examples of content from outside our company and using them as inspiration inthe way we communicate.
