The role


To support the resource team in converting requirements developed by the Operational Planning team into resource schedules, ensuring that the day plan is efficiently and effectively resourced by individuals with the required skill sets to execute the work.


  • Staff administration tasks such as maintaining and updating computer systems with data regarding staff moves, new starters/ leavers and administering requests for annual leave, overtime, and shift swaps.
  • Ensures that previous learning is shared and converted so that repeated scheduling problems do not occur
  • Compliance with the scheduling process.
  • The effective use and development of the IT resource scheduling systems.
  • The completeness, quality, and accuracy of systembased resource scheduling information.
  • Timely distribution of operational plans and their component parts.
  • Eradication of scheduling failures
  • Improvements in personal effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the company that may be outside the standard remit of the role.

What will make you successful in this role

  • A positive, flexible, enthusiastic 'can do' attitude will be more important than formal qualifications for this role.
  • Able to rapidly integrate into a teamworking environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft packages Word & Excel & PowerPoint
  • Creative and proactive approach.
  • Effective communication skills with people at all levels.
  • Great organisational, planning & prioritising skills.
  • Experience in using company systems such as CSS, RMS would be an advantage
