Grade UE03:
£21,978 to £22,681 per annum (A revised salary range for this grade of £22,214 to £24,248 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024)


School of Health in Social Science

Full-time: 35 hours per week (part-time hours will be considered; we are also open to considering requests for hybrid working that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working with an expectation that the post holder would work from campus for a minimum of two days per week)
**Fixed-term: starting 3 June 2024, for 12 weeks


The Opportunity:


The School of Health in Social Science is looking for an on Campus intern to support the School's work on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion with a particular focus on Decolonising the Curriculum.

The post holder will work closely with the Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the School's Decolonising the Curriculum working group to propose strategies and an action plan for this area of activity.


This internship is part of the on Campus programme which is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools.

It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate-year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK.

You cannot take part if you are a visiting student, or you have already taken part in the programme before.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • An interest in equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Good communication skills with a range of audiences (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience of project planning and working to timescales
  • Experience of researching and collating information
