Financial Controller - Doncaster - Up To £55,000

Chase & Holland are delighted to be working with a family-owner, well-established and award winning company with their head office in Sheffield.

They are passionate about striving to be industry leaders and are well respected in their sector.

They require ahighly competent, driven Financial Controller to join their dynamic team and be a key player in their upcoming expansion plans.

You will be reporting to and working closely with the CEO and wider executive team and contributing to the creation of a sound andappropriate financial account and manage the finance team.

Financial Controller Responsibilities:


  • Financial and management reporting and group consolidation
  • Dealing with all accounting matters of the business
  • Preparation of Budgets, forecasting and 5 year business planning
  • Work with the wider business to challenge the numbers and drive operational performance
  • Oversee all accounting transactions and payroll processing ensuring accurate and on time
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, HMRC and banks
  • Completion of statutory accounts, annual returns and preparation for the auditors
  • Drive change management culture review and develop controls, processes and procedures

Required Skills & Experience:


  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW) or Qualified By Experience
  • Experience of general staff management and managing a team
  • Strong financial and management accounting skills
  • Continuous improvement mentality and ability to drive change, working with the wider business
  • Board Level experience within an SME or senior manager within an SME owner managed business would be desirable
  • IT literate including ERP systems (Power BI preferable but not essential)
