We are a well-established firm of chartered surveyors seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join and compliment our existing Quantity Surveying team based in Worthing, Sussex.

Working on a variety of projects across various sectors you will play a key role in the successful delivery of schemes.

You will have the ability and confidence to manage your own workload taking on responsibility for a wide range of surveying duties.

The role would suit an individual wishing to become an integral part of a small and dynamic team rather than being just a number in a larger organisation.

Skills and Requirements:

• Demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Have good technical knowledge of surveying roles including procurement, contracts and tendering.
• Prepare budgets and cost estimates.
• Prepare tender documentation including Schedules of Work and Specification writing.
• Evaluate and report on tenders.
• Prepare contract documents for execution.
• Undertake postcontract duties including contract administration, monthly valuations, review of variations, preparation of cost reports and attending monthly meetings.
• Prepare Final Accounts.
• Hold a valid, full UK driving licence.

Education and Experience:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in Building Surveying (although not essential).
• Suitable consultancy experience.
• Chartered preferred or be able to demonstrate adequate experience.
