Position:
£14,400.00 per annum (FTE £24,000 per annum)
Part time, permanent - 21 hours per week
Office based - Derby, Leylands Estate.
We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated Desktop Support Officer to support the operation of the Trust, ensuring that all our colleagues have everything they need.
The Desktop Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring new starters and employees have the necessary resources for effective and disruption-free work.
You'll assist with the configuration and optimisation of IT hardware, provide training, and develop user guides to empower end users.
You will work with our IT infrastructure partner to provide hands-on support with hardware-related issues.
As part of your role, you'll be responsible for ordering, coordinating safe delivery, and (remotely) setting up IT equipment for users, as well as carrying out IT inductions for new starters and reviewing workstation assessments.
Where appropriate, you'll be expected to offer in-person support for hardware issues at our six UK locations and therefore some adhoc travel will be required.
Requirements:
You'll be customer focused and able to communicate technical concepts to end users with limited technical knowledge. You'll have proven analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify causes and possible solutions. Educated to Diploma level or higher in the field of Computer Science is desirable. You'll be experienced and proficient in Microsoft software, video conferencing technologies and remote/virtual desktop.
