Overview of the Role

Manage, develop and implement a financial strategy to strengthen the financial performance and ensure the longterm financial viability of the school
Manage, develop and implement financial reporting, management information, financial processes and controls
Formulation of financial targets and budgets
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the finance team
Represent the school in discussions and negotiations with external funding agencies
Build positive relationships with colleagues and encourage open communication

The Person

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
Significant experience of budgetary control, financial accounting, preparation and presentation of financial information to board level
Experience of developing, procuring and delivering major capital projects
Proven experience of managing teams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire
Energetic with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
