About the Role:

As a dedicated member of our Protocol Education team, you will play an integral part in nurturing and supporting students with SEMH needs


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing oneonone support to students, fostering their social and emotional development.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers and SEMH specialists to implement personalized support plans and effective behavior management strategies.
  • Assisting in various classroom activities, ensuring students' engagement and participation despite their SEMH challenges.
  • Cultivating positive and trustful relationships with students, contributing to their overall wellbeing and personal growth.

Qualifications and Skills:


We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Previous experience in a school or care setting, supporting students dealing with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • A solid understanding of SEMH conditions and effective strategies for support.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to empathetically connect with students and enhance their social and emotional development.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy, driven by a genuine passion for supporting students facing SEMH challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cater to the diverse needs of students across different age groups and abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
