Events Fundraising Manager

Salary F/T equivalent £23-25k

Part Time:
Flexible 20-25 Hours per week, some evening and weekend work


Based:
Milton Keynes (Hybrid)


We are pleased to be working for this established and award-winning child bereavement charity supporting children and families here in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.


Recognised for their unique and child-centric approach to providing pastoral, practical and varied services to children and young people who are grieving the death of a parent or sibling.


With fantastic growth plans and to sustain key services, they are looking for an experienced and dynamic events fundraiser who will be responsible for the organisation and implementation of all fundraising events, ensuring they are planned and run effectively,maximising income, to enable the Charity to achieve its objectives.

Increasing participation and building relationships towards the future development of the events fundraising programme.

Key Activities

  • Create and follow the annual Events calendar in line with the fundraising strategy reporting on success and recommendations for improvements
  • Research, create and plan new events, with authorisation from the CEO
  • Contribute to the creation of the fundraising strategy, alongside the wider team and CEO
  • To meet fundraising targets, aligned with the fundraising strategy
  • Attend the majority of events, and when unable to, ensure representation by a trained volunteer
  • Develop detailed project plans, project management and procedures for all events
  • Ensure Risk Assessments are completed and approved where relevant for any event fundraising activities, in line with our Health & Safety policy
  • Undertake training and development opportunities
  • Maintain communication and marketing to ensure the events are maximised across our website, social media channels and external media partners
  • Recruit, train and organise the events team needed for events
  • Hold monthly meetings with the events team to ensure support is obtained, both in the planning and execution of events, recording minutes to communicate to the team
  • Ensure volunteers have access to and complete training needed for their role, completing DBS checks & induction, keeping uptodate and accurate records
  • Ensure volunteers receive the necessary uniform and understand the procedure to claim expenses according to the policy and financial policy
  • Maintain regular communication with volunteers ensuring they have all information required to carry out their role and duties to the best outcomes for events and fundraising

Desirable experience
