Job Type HGV Mechanic Class 1 Preferred
Location Chorley
Position Permanent Hours
Monday to Saturday hours per week.
Basic week 40 hours after that time and half
Holidays 24 days per year + bank holidays
Salary To be discussed based on experience

The Role:
An excellent and varied opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled HGV Mechanic to join the committed team.

**Key Responsibilities to include:
- ** Versatile and varied responsibilities in a busy workshop vehicle servicing and repairs; 6 weekly inspections, servicing and repairs MOT Preparation to ministry standard.
Needs to be able to carry out all mechanical repairs including engines
Use of Texa to carry out diagnostic
Breakdown attendance
Vehicle trailer service and repair
Completing all paperwork accurately - service and inspection sheets and defect notes as well as a job card system

THE CANDIDATE:

The HGV Mechanic will be a committed and reliable professional with an excellent attention to detail who takes pride in their work.

Key experience essential for the role:

Previous HGV mechanical experience is essential
A C&G Vehicle Maintenance Level 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent is essential
Preparing vehicles to MOT standard
Previous experience working on DAF, MAN and Scania experience would be a big advantage
Experience of diagnostics would also be advantageous but not essential

Class 1 license would be an advantage

Salary:
From £40,000.00 per year
