Meaningful Work From Day One

The Operations Intern is a key member of the Operations Team.

The Operations team is integral to the B-F UK Sales function as they are responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of Brown-Forman UK's sales and commercial organisation.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and partners with sales, marketing and finance to drive operational success.


The key responsibility of this role is to support back end processes & tools as well as coordination and administration, specifically related to the management of rebates.

Pivotal to this role will be the ability to navigate between internal systems, training will be given. Systems include (but are not limited to) SAP, KAMs Forecasting Tool, Salesforce CRM.

You will have a large network of stakeholders across sales & finance, building good relationships is crucial.

This position may require 1-2 days travel a month.

What You Will Do in This Role

Value Creation- Processing rebates- Loading of invoices from the rebates inbox to Salesforce- Communicating with our US Lead Process Architect on resolving and improving automation of rebates- Vendor setup on systems/ tools- Vendor management on systems/ tools- Storage of annual agreements & promotional conformations- Maintain & store all customer agreements & promotional confirmation in Google Drive- Control over annual agreements:

  • Validation of annual customer agreements between Salesforce and KAMs to check that dates, fiscals, materials, rates/ fixed amounts line up via monthly review sessions with Finance and Sales
  • Documentation of the validation process monthly
  • confirming which customers and/ or agreements have been checked, including any changes to be made
  • Once the invoice is loaded in to Salesforce, reference back to the original agreement which is also on Salesforce to complete the circle from an auditory perspective
  • Monthly maintenance of the storage of PSA (promotional sales agreement) from Salesforce
  • Maintain & store all promotional sales agreements in Salesforce
  • Monthly PSA validation
  • Validate agreement volumes from sales agreements with RTM (route to market)/ wholesale data.
  • Coordinate promotion information and data across commercial functions and cooperate with other functional departments to resolve rebate issues.


Operational Processes- Management of our S&BP process (commercial reporting cycle)- Build and manage commercial tracker- Actively ensure compliance with laws, policies and best practices.- Ad hoc tasks occuring within the commercial function.

What you bring to the table- Strong tools and systems understanding- Ability to build strong relationship- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skillsPreferred Experience- Prior Experience in wine and spirits or luxury FMCG industries
