DRW NX seeks a
Field Operations Specialist (Microwave Towers) to join our UK Field Operations team. Based in Newbury or London, you will support our UK and EU networks, focusing solely on our network's innovation and success. Proficiency in microwave installations, path alignments, and troubleshooting is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on towers and rooftops, including line and antenna installation, grounding/electrical tasks, and microwave path alignments
- Rack cabinet devices, collaborate with the NOC, perform risk assessments, and adhere to health and safety policies
- Conduct on-the-job training and follow Scope of Work and Method of Procedure documents
- Provide daily progress reports, review closeout documentation, and maintain quality standards
- Resolve trouble tickets promptly, set project timelines, and ensure network standards compliance
- Conduct site surveys, keep team lead informed, and handle maintenance issues
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in microwave technology, with millimeter and fiber optic experience preferred
- Willingness to travel within the EU, ability to work long hours and weekends, and hold necessary tower certifications
- Experience in electrical work, sweep gear, network analyzers, and equipment preconfiguration
- Self-motivated, independent, safety-conscious, with strong problemsolving skills
- Capable of lifting and carrying equipment
